March, 2001: establishes GSM testing service in Lung Tang, Taiwan;
July, 2003: acquires the designated test lab for PLMN01 and PLMN08 by The Directorate General of Telecommunications, Ministry of Transportation and Communication;
July, 2003: becomes an observer of GCF (Global Certification Forum);
April, 2004: becomes the first full member of PVG from Taiwan;
May, 2004: accepted by PTCRB as the first PTCRB Accredited Test Lab in Taiwan;
Jan. 2005: joins OMA as a member;
March 2005: joins ETSI as a member;
April 2005: joins 3GPP as a member;
June 2008: grants Japan DSP Research Certificate as their accredited lab;
April 2009: accepted by CTIA as CTIA Authorized Testing Laboratory;
April 2009: accepted by CCF as CCF Authorized Test Facility;
CGC began to provide the terminal certification testing in March 2001 and dedicated to shorten the certification testing time to fulfill the time-to-market need of the industrial sectors. CGC continuously makes more efforts and contribution to introduce all kinds of the testing requirements over the world and keep going to maintain this goal by cooperating with the mobile handset manufacturers to become technical advance.
In March 2004, the first Chinese self-reliance testing laboratory covering 2.5/2.75G GSM / GPRS / EDGE technologies were established which was based on the existing GSM capability. Then, a complete 3G WCDMA mobile communications testing laboratory and capability were built in August 2005. From self-sustained aspect, CGC has not only fulfilled the commitments to the customers on building a comprehensive laboratory in Taiwan, but also share our experience and testing knowledge with them.
Currently, the main service inCGC is the mobile communications product testing and certification services. Besides, CGC plays an important role to bring all kinds of information on new Standards/Specifications to the industries. Furthermore, all the related knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in different countries will be introduced through the seminars and training courses with TEEMA which is a biggest not-for-profit organization in Taiwan.

The competence of ISO17025 Testing Laboratories is one segment of conformity assessment. The ultimate objective is consumer protection including accreditation, testing and inspection of production as well as manufacturer of quality system to protect consumer interests. To accredit and restrict the system and production of auditor as well as competence of testing/calibration laboratories through accreditation bodies in each nation. According to implement accredited system of the consistent standard, the reports and certificates of accreditation bodies can obtain the specific confidence level trans-nationally. Therefore, 「Impartiality」 is essential concept in the field of testing service. It represents the warrant of technical level and security as well as consumer protection.
CGC provides the certification testing service that is compliant with the ISO/IEC 17025 and the criteria of international mobile communications organizations to assure the terminal devices that seek the certification of internal organizations to meet the requirements of international standard and to register on the Operators' networks.
Based on the 「Impartiality」, 「Knowledge」 and「Technology」, CGC provides the service of 「Certification」, 「Consultation」 and 「Testing」 to support the production produced professionally, accurately and efficiently and entered international markets in compliance to the international standards.
